Hello, dear teddy bear friends!
My name is „Red Pepper” and it’s a pleasure for me to present the new collection by Hildegard Günzel to you today. No, I was not given my name because my nose went red after having had too much chilli or playing in the cold too long! – Hildegard just liked it this way. And now everybody believes me to be a downright vivacious and cool guy. This means that I get mixed up in – not always harmless - adventures time and time again, as can easily be seen from my tattered fur and the patches Hildegard gave to me. Fortunately, everything has passed off without serious consequences so far. Nonetheless I found it appropriate to move back to cosy domesticity for a while and make myself a bit useful at home. And that’s why she landed me with the job of introducing you to my teddy siblings, the Hildegard Günzel Collection 2006. At first I did not want to do this and objected. It is winter-time when the new collection is introduced and that is when bears are overcome with the natural need to laze around. ‘Hildegard’, I said, ‘it’s not really necessary. Show the people some photos or – even better – put the bears into their arms! And they will know everything! Your collectors have got eyes in their heads! They will see and feel that we all are made of the best materials. Finest mohair! Exclusive design! And our accessories are well-known for being inventive and of highest quality. Why especially mention that?’ But not a chance! I couldn’t convince her. And that’s why I’m here now and would like to introduce this year’s teddy bears to you again in order:
At first there are Paolo and Topo. They are inseparable. Which is extremely remarkable because after all Paolo is a bear and Topo a mouse. The big and the little one get on so well together.
Goldi and Peterle are together all the time too. These two are really cute ones! Goldi is wearing a white dress and has a bow in her hair and Peterle is dressed in fancy check trousers.
Mathilda is the perfect lady. She loves the twinkling jewellery her exquisitely embroidered dress is trimmed with. Even in her face and around her eyes the Swarowski pearls are glistening. Mathilda was designed by Isolde von Malchus and is limited to only 15 pieces. By the way, she is not at all conceited but looks trustingly upon the world - as do all my teddy siblings. They all are very nice and dear and look forward to cuddling to you. Well, I admit that I do, too. But I tell you right now that I won’t let you squeeze me too much!
When looking at our Mizzy you might want to rub your eyes in disbelief because you think you are wearing rose-tinted spectacles. But that is not true, because Mizzy really is tender-coloured: all tender rose-lilac and in addition with a long grey fur dress – charming! But myself – well! I just quickly slipped on something before coming to you. I just sewed together my jacket with a few stitches. But my cap is a great creation, isn’t it? I’m really proud of it. And the colours of my patches match my fur. If you could become friends with me I’d gladly come home to you. By the way, we all travel in an attractive aubergine box, very noble! We all come from a good family, the ‘Hildegard Günzel Teddybärenmanufaktur’. But you will surely know this already! Well, that’s all I can say. If you want to know anything else about us or Hildegard, just have a look at the catalogue, it’s all in there. I hope we’ll see each other soon!
So long!
Your
Red Pepper
